Support the Community Parks Revitalization Act
Congressman Albio Sires (D-NJ), joined by Congressman Mike Turner (R-OH) and ten other original co-sponsors, recently reintroduced his community parks bill. The Community Parks Revitalization Act (H.R. 2424), will revise and update the Urban Parks and Recreation and Recovery Program (UPARR) by authorizing matching, federal grants to enable communities to better leverage resources to address health, economic development, and conservation concerns through needed investments in parks, recreational areas, facilities, and programs.
Additionally, it would authorize an innovative financing mechanism, the Park Infrastructure Innovative Financing ACT (PIFIA) that would provide low interest government loans parks and recreation infrastructure projects.

NACPRO created a group on NRPA Connect, an online forum for the exchange of information and knowledge. We like to think of this as our Best Practices Forum, a place where you can post your pressing issues and get informed suggestions from colleagues. Subscribe today - You can’t have much of a conversation if no one else is sitting around the table.
Here’s how it works: The Email Listserv functions like a mailing list. Someone posts a question on the listserv by either logging into NACPRO Connect Group or by sending an email to NACPRO@nrpaconnect.org. That email goes out to all subscribers. Subscribers can respond with suggestions, which in turn are also shared with the subscribers.
You do not need to be a member of NRPA to join the group, but you will need to create a free account. Once you are logged in, search for the NACPRO Group, join our group, and setup your Delivery Settings.
Next time you are looking for good advice – post a message to the listserv for some timely answers.
